2010-06-27 Seniors Day 11:00 to 3:00 pm The Active Seniors day is always a success, with more than 1,000 Seniors participating. There will b3e a ribbon cutting ceremony with dignitaries whom will officially open the the afternoon of entertainment. When the Seniors arrive around 10:30 am. They will be given a bag to put their prizes, gifts and coupons in. 2010-06-20 World Journal Paper Fashion Show 2:00 pm In celebration of World Journal's 35th Anniversary in North America, fashion designers will design fashions made out of newspaper. The fashions will be designed from World Journal Newspaper and Toronto Chinese News and worn by models on First Markham Place runway. Photographers are invited to take photos and enter them in the photography contest. 2010-06-19 I Talk B B Promotion on stage at First Markham Place with A 1 Radio 2010-04-17 New Talent Singing Awards Semi Finals April 17th During the show they will narrow it down to the very best performers. 2010-05-01 Asian Heritage Celebration First Markham Place is pleased to host the opening of Asian Heritage Month. The Celebrations will begin with a Town Crier announcing the dignitaries, Senator vivian Poy, Mayor of Markham Frank Scarpitti are amongst the many important people on hand to celebrate. The opening Ceremony will include a Lion Dance with a high energy performance followed by the dotting of the Lions eyes by Senator Poy and dignitaries. Throughut the afternoon there will be many performances all relating to Asian Heritage. This year we will have displays from the Hong Kong Verterans Commemorative Association.
